How industries can benefit from 360 degree video marketing
Generally, VR videos are best suited to those businesses and brands that want to offer their clients a sense of exclusivity by providing the whole picture from dynamic angles. 360 degree videos are known as ‘sticky content’, as they are proved to keep users on your website by allowing them to really engage with your products or services, by looking around and exploring the environment.
Additionally, viewers playback 360 videos over and over again, as they look to explore other areas in the video that they may have missed during their initial views, giving them the opportunity to take in the full spherical experience on offer. With these videos being hosted on social media platforms, they are shared more often than standard 2D videos, getting your product or services in front of a much wider audience. Below we’ve listed just a few industries that make great use of this content.

Competition in this industry is very strong so what better way to show off what you have to offer, the setting, the interiors of your establishment and what your customers can experience, than by giving them a 360 degree video. By embedding moton text graphics to the video you can give the viewer additional information about what they can expect. Check out this video of the Cross Keys pub.

Tips for 360 video marketing
It is not as easy as just putting a 360 video rig in the middle of a room or activity and hitting record. It is imperative to plan the 360 video shoot in detail, as remember, everything will be in shot and this is what makes this medium so powerful. If you have any action in the scene it is best to keep the camera closer to the action and if using many cameras, ensuring that the action happens in the frame of one of the cameras. Also, lighting, you can’t use lighting rigs out of shot anymore as they won’t be, so you have to plan carefully the type of shot you wish to capture and use natural light or ambient lighting.
Focus on the best features or experiences
When it comes to digital marketing, it’s crucial to convey the standout features or experience. You don’t have to film every experience, even just one, that gives the viewer a real feel of what it would be like, is enough to make them look further, as to what you have to offer. Through narration and text graphics you can add a further layer of information, directing them around the scene as the video plays back.
Social media is encouraging companies to publish 360 video content, so take advantage of this! Many brands are now able to reach millions online, so influence your followers in one of the most engaging ways possible.
